About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an Information Desk Assistant to join the Faculty of Health, Social Care and Medicine to deliver outstanding customer experience.

As Information Desk Assistant, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the Information Desk and foyer area in the Faculty of Health, Social Care & Medicine Building and the Clinical Skills and Simulation Centre, providing a front-line service. You will provide a professional and welcoming first impression of the Faculty and have responsibility for a range of administrative duties, whilst providing an outstanding customer service, by acting as first point of contact to all enquirers and visitors. The role will work closely with colleagues across the Faculty and University departments and will be aware of key processes and contacts to help resolve any requests where appropriate.

About You

As Information Desk Assistant, you will have:

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • A flexible and positive approach.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Front facing customer service experience. 
  • Experience in use of databases, word processing and spreadsheets for administration services.
  • The ability to work without direct supervision, exercise initiative and independent judgement.
