We are currently seeking to recruit an Information Assistant within the Library Services team.

The post holder will be required to provide a support service for all Learning Resource Centre (LRC) users, including information, advice and instruction via enquiry points. They will also be required to undertake essential library administrative procedures including book acquisitions and processing journals mainly through the full operation of the library management system.

Candidates will ideally have experience of working in a library environment or a similar position and have a genuine interest in education and supporting learning.

Applicants will need to possess well developed verbal/written communication skills and interpersonal skills, and you must be able to demonstrate confidence in dealing with a wide range of tasks and people. Experience in using Microsoft Office Systems including Excel is essential. Candidates will need to be able to demonstrate effective time management, organisation and administrative skills, together with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
