Following on from recent externally funded activity, the Virtual Engineering Centre (VEC) is now expanding its Technical Team, we are now seeking a candidate to join our team in the role of Industrial Digitalisation Engineer. You will work as a technical specialist with focus areas in Industrial Digitalisation, Digital Transformation, Manufacturing and Machine/Device Connectivity. You will work at the Virtual Engineering Centre (VEC) at Daresbury but will also interact with, and work at the DIF on the main University campus as required.

You will be motivated and able to contribute to the development of capability in Virtual Engineering and support the growth of the Centre. You will join a multidisciplinary team focusing on Data Science, Data Analytics and data processing, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Autonomous Systems, Immersive Systems, VR, AR and mixed reality application development, Digital twins and digital threads, Design optimisation, manufacture and assembly, Digital Heritage, Blockchain and Web3 applications, High fidelity simulations and architectures for distributed simulation, Sensors, Diagnostics and Biomedical Devices.

This post is part-funded through the Horizons programme, funded by the UK Government's UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) with the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority as the lead.
