The above part-time (0.8 FTE) post is available from June 2024 to February 2025 on a fixed-term basis. Based at the Innovation Centre on Exeter Streatham campus, with the possibility of hybrid working.

Summary of the role 

Exeter Innovation has an exciting opportunity for an experienced partnership development manager to join our team to manage the professional education portfolio for the University of Exeter Business School.   

We are looking for an experienced manager who can work closely with the Head of Business School Programmes and Associate Dean for Professional Education to develop the Business School’s professional education portfolio. The post-holder will be responsible for driving the impact and external engagement in this area, in particular developing and supporting a significant portfolio of programmes and executive education activities as well as supporting in the development of the School’s Strategy in this area. The role will be responsible for line managing a team of Impact and Partnership Development Officers and administrators who support the School’s professional education portfolio.  

The successful candidate will have excellent partnership development experience and extensive knowledge of managing and delivering executive education activities in a HEI setting. They will have excellent commercial acumen and ability to think strategically. The individual will come from programme management and income generating background and be highly experienced in working with a range of external clients and internal stakeholders at a variety of levels. They will have a strong understanding of the demand for executive education and ideas for developing this portfolio in line with the School’s flagship research centres. They will be responsible for coordinating and driving existing activities in this area, identifying opportunities to deliver greater value to these sectors, working with researchers from across disciplines and colleges, and engaging with industry practitioners across the UK. 

Exeter Innovation is the professional team that supports and drives this critical work.  Its key aim is to secure significantly greater value and impact from relationships with partners drawing on the University’s education, research and physical assets.  This includes research collaboration, commercial services, new venture development, skills, placements, and education partnerships.
