We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and motivated individual to join our dedicated and friendly HR Team at the School of Geography and Environment. Reporting to the HR Operations Manager, you will undertake the day to day running of the School’s Human Resources Team. This will include the day to day supervision of the HR Assistant.
You will look after the employee life cycle; prepare and issue formal offer letters and employment contracts in accordance with University policies and procedures; Manage the administration of all matters relating to the day to day implementation of the recruitment and selection process; oversee visa applications; Monitor fixed term contract processes, sick leave absence records, annual leave records, end of probationary periods and annual PDR dates and inform the HR Operations Manager / Head of HR of any actions to be taken; etc.
To be successful you will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, knowledge of employment legislation and interpreting and experience of applying HR policy, guidance and legislation to real situations, be team player who works well within a team, but also able to work independently.
