We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Administrator to join the Cambridge Research Office. The University is one of the world's leading research-intensive academic institutions. The Cambridge Research Office (CRO) is responsible for supporting all the research which is carried out across the University and is a team of approximately 170 staff.

About the Role

As the HR Administrator you will work closely with the HR Coordinator to provide a comprehensive service for all HR functions in the department. You will support staff recruitment, induction, probation, end of contract procedures, leave and contract changes. You will also respond to a range of general HR queries, advising on HR policy, procedure and best practice.

Your Skills and Experience

You will be well-organised, proactive, and responsive, with the ability to communicate at all levels and to work well within and across teams. With an excellent level of attention to detail, you will be able to prioritise effectively and work quickly and accurately. You will be flexible and adaptable and able to apply tact and discretion when managing sensitive and highly confidential information. You will have excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure while managing workloads to meet multiple deadlines. You will have experience in an administrative role within a service orientated environment.

Location

We are supportive of hybrid working and we are currently trialling in-person working within teams, 2 days per week from Greenwich House. Some roles may require additional onsite working according to business need and this is subject to discussion with the recruiting manager.
