The opportunity

University of the Arts London is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic administrator to join our team on a full-time basis.

The Hub is Camberwell College of Arts’ venue for the community in the heart of Peckham. It is a vibrant space where local businesses and the community come together to develop creative business ideas, explore emerging technologies and learn new skills.

Created in partnership with Southwark Council, The Hub was born out of Camberwell College of Arts’ continuous commitment to meet the needs of those who live and work in the local area. Our outreach, digital learning, start-up and business development programmes support economic growth and explore business solutions to social challenges.

The Hub provides events and training space for South London-based people and groups to explore and find solutions to social challenges through digital technologies, learn new skills and generate business ideas.

Purpose of Job

Supporting Camberwell, Chelsea and Wimbledon College of Arts’ Knowledge Exchange team, the wider UAL community and local residents and groups, the Hub Front of House and Events Administrator will administer the development, coordination and delivery of The Hub events programme aimed at engaging with the local community, supporting UAL graduates and staff, diversifying our audience and enhancing the College’s profile.

The programmes delivered out of The Hub contribute to the positive experiences of our graduates, students and the local community and further builds positive relationships with individuals, community groups and networks in Southwark and the surrounding areas.


About you

You will be experienced in events support and social media, with an interest of The Hub’s local area in Peckham and the wider borough of Southwark.

You will be the first point of contact at The Hub and should be a collaborative and positive team player that is able to remain calm and professional during busy times.

Previous experience working in a public-facing, busy events environment is essential, together with a good knowledge of administration, budgeting, AV, IT and Design and Productivity software packages. Operations experience would also be an advantage.
