The Department 

The HR Operations team is responsible for providing a first-class HR administrative support service, encompassing a broad range of HR activities associated with the employment cycle. The team acts as the first point of contact for queries from managers and staff across the university and provides a comprehensive administrative support service to the Human Resources team, organising and maintaining efficient and up-to-date information systems.

The Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and adaptable HR Assistant to play an important role in providing a high-quality human resources service to the University. As part of the HR Operations team, this role is responsible for providing transactional support to Schools and Central Services functions. This is an administrative role, dealing with filing, and handling queries from internal and external customers.

The Person

The successful candidate must be able to work well in a team and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. Strong organisational and IT skills, an eye for detail and an understanding of the importance of confidentiality in a work environment are essential to this post. Previous experience in an HR department would be an advantage but is not essential.
