An exciting part time opportunity has arisen to play a key role over the next 12 months in taking forward relevant HR projects and priorities for our Kent and Medway Medical School (KMMS). KMMS is an collaboration between the University of Kent and Canterbury Christ Church University and since September 2020, the school has been educating aspiring doctors to deliver 21st century medicine.

We are seeking a HR Project Officer with previous experience of supporting HR projects and/or initiatives, who can monitor and report progress against action plans. You will also have the opportunity to lead on projects. Blending both knowledge of HR process and best practice, you will be able to manage competing priorities, be a highly organised team player and be able to drive forward project actions. This role is diverse and will enable the successful candidate the ability to develop with support and guidance. 

What will you bring?

  • Experience of working as a HR professional who keeps up to date with HR best practice and employment law
  • Experience of providing generalist HR advice and guidance to managers
  • Excellent organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail
  • Experience of either managing or coordinating HR projects or initiatives using project management techniques
  • Strong interpersonal skills which enable you to build relationships with a range of stakeholders and influence them to deliver what is required

Although not essential, it would be desirable if you had experience of working with or within the NHS providing a broad range of HR advice and support.
