Hybrid working: a mix of working in the office and from home
There has never been a better time to join us. As an HR service we are building on our recent period of growth and HR Transformation programme and continue to invest in our HR team, to support our future vision.
Providing a high quality, progressive, equitable and inclusive employment experience is really important to us and this role will assist this by supporting HR employee lifecycle processes, including probation, contract changes, DBS, sickness, extended family leave, resignations and retirement (and more). In this role you will act as the first point of contact for all general enquiries into HR and you will work closely with the HR Advisers and our Schools and Services to produce correspondence and update the HR systems.
You’ll have meticulous attention to detail and a display commitment to high quality customer service. You will also have experience of working in a large, complex organisation, ideally in an HR environment and will have experience of processing high levels of administrative tasks with a high level of accuracy and in a timely manner.
Equity, Diversity and Inclusion are of vital importance to the University and the HR department. We have made strides in recent years, but recognise we have significant work to do to achieve our plans to become an anti-racist organisation and one at which EDI is embedded in all that we do.
Ensuring that we recruit and retain a diverse range of colleagues is key to achieving the University’s strategic aim to be more diverse, equitable and inclusive. Together we are creating an environment in which diverse individuals can belong, develop and thrive.
We’d also love to bring more experience and voices from those in under-represented groups into our HR team and so actively welcome applications from people from diverse backgrounds and minoritized groups. Diverse backgrounds, characteristics and opinions are key to us in supporting inclusion and belonging within our communities where we have 75 different nationalities amongst c3,500 of us across the university and will enable us to deliver educational excellence, enterprise, research and professional service.
Loughborough University has a strong history of Staff Networks, and we see them doing a great job in empowering colleagues, building their confidence and community, and providing voice and influence across the organisation. You can read more about Staff Networks at Loughborough here https://www.lboro.ac.uk/equity-diversity-inclusion/staff-networks/
We recognise the value of a fulfilling and balanced work and personal life which promotes wellbeing. We seek to support colleagues in achieving this balance and have family-friendly policies, flexible working arrangements and many roles can be suitable for hybrid dynamic working arrangements. This includes considering applications to work on a part-time, flexible and job share basis wherever possible.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a high-performing HR team and positively impact on the delivery of a high quality, progressive and inclusive employment experience for all our employees. In return, we offer you a great place to work, with a generous employment package including:
- Up to*39 days leave per year (including Bank Holidays and University Closure days).
- Hybrid working (We typically expect people to be in the office 3 days per week)
- Employee Assistance Programme
- BUPA Cash Plan (100 Scheme)
