Do you want to help change the world for the better?  That is our mission - and it could be yours too.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Human Resource Data Analyst to join our team.  You will provide high quality specialist analytical support to the Human Resources directorate, with a particular focus in the area of reward and equality, diversity and inclusion. You will deliver and develop actionable insights that will inform business case development, organisational design, attendance management and project delivery.

You will be forward-thinking and consultative in approach and will have strong analytical skills and proven experience of working with large, complex data sets. This will be supported by advanced Excel skills and the ability to present results concisely and informatively to a range of audiences. CIPD membership, experience of job evaluation and a basic knowledge of employment law would be beneficial.  This is an exciting and varied role with a good degree of autonomy and the ability to positively impact an already successful organisation.

What we can offer you

The University of Southampton’s mission is to change the world for the better. As a world-leading, research-intensive university, with a strong and high-quality educational offering, it is renowned for its innovation and enterprise. It is a founding member of the Russell Group - an organisation of 24 top UK universities committed to maintaining the highest research and teaching standards.

We offer some fantastic benefits including 30 days annual leave, in addition to 8 public holidays and 6 university closure days. Options for flexible working are available, excellent family leave arrangements (including maternity, paternity, adoption, parental and carers leave), a wide variety of on and off-campus arts and culture facilities, access to our sports complex, Hartley library and a range of staff offers, including a cycle-to-work scheme and a variety of discounts at local shops, restaurants and service providers.

The University of Southampton is committed to supporting and promoting equality and diversity to create an inclusive working environment. We believe this can be achieved through attracting, developing, and retaining a diverse range of staff from many different backgrounds who share our ambition to be a university recognised for delivering world-class research and creating a community that values independent thought.
