HR Business Partner (Employee Relations)

The University of Oxford is seeking to recruit an experienced and self-motivated HR Business Partner with a strong focus on employee relations.

You will understand the key strategic and operational objectives of each department and play a pivotal role in helping to achieve them by providing high-level advice and support. You will cover a wide range of HR issues, with a high focus on employee relations. You will be responsible for managing complex or high risk cases, finding pragmatic solutions to the issues at play and navigating departmental managers through the University procedures/employment legislation to successful outcomes. You will contribute to training and briefing sessions on a range of HR issues.

You will be confident and capable and have significant experience of providing HR support on the management of complex cases. You are someone who enjoys a challenge and is accomplished in employee relations and problem solving. You can develop constructive working relationships at any level and are professional and proactive in your approach. You are able to offer sound judgement underpinned by your knowledge of employment law and good practice. You will ideally have a recognised HR qualification with a proven track record of advising and influencing at all levels.

The successful postholder will work in one of the five divisions of the University (further detail is included in the job description), however may be required to support colleagues in other teams depending on operational needs.
