Faculty / Directorate
This is a really exciting time to be joining DMU. The People Services team has been through a period of change and we have several new roles available to support the advancement of our ambitious Empowering University strategy. Being part of a thriving and energetic team, you would join our new directorate and help us to deliver a key pillar of our university strategy, ‘Empowering People’. Our role is to enhance our employee offer in relation to leadership and management, reward and recognition, voice and experience, health and wellbeing, and to ensure our polices, processes and systems enable digital solutions, swift decision making, equal access and autonomy.
People Services has a rich portfolio including people partnering, policy and employee relations, wellbeing, international, pay and reward, operations and support hub, as well as talent, learning and organisational development.
Our directorate’s ambition is to provide high quality professional people services, working together to enhance the lives of our current and future employees so that they can deliver an excellent student experience. We strive to provide a great experience for colleagues so they enjoy being at work and are able to achieve their potential.
Role
Embark on a dynamic HR advisory role, reporting to the Senior People Partner. Your primary objective is to lead specialist HR administration for the People Partnering, People Operations, and Employment Relations teams. Dive into local and university-wide projects, managing administrative aspects and contributing to the success of diverse initiatives. Your role extends to handling confidential staff data, liaising internally and externally, and conducting thorough research.
From ensuring our intranet reflects the latest HR content to managing the People Services' asset register, your administrative prowess will shine. You'll be the driving force behind professional reports and presentations, maintaining up-to-date templates. The role demands meticulous note-taking at crucial meetings and keeping the People Services organisational chart accurate and accessible. Coordinating communications, engagement meetings, and organising networking events will be second nature.
Please note this is a Part time role, 0.7 FTE (26 hours/week). It is preferred that this is worked across 5 days, but we are open to 3.5 days as a minimum. The role will require some on-campus working of up to 40% per week.
Ideal Candidate
We're seeking an administrative maestro with a flair for HR intricacies. Your expertise in handling confidential data, managing organisational charts, and coordinating various aspects of communication and engagement will set you apart. Proficiency in drafting correspondence, publications, and presentations is crucial, along with a knack for ad-hoc financial administration.
As our ideal candidate, you are proactive, detail-oriented, and adept at multitasking in a fast-paced HR environment. Your commitment to excellence, coupled with your excellent communication skills, makes you an invaluable addition to our team. If you're ready to contribute your skills to a dynamic HR setting, we welcome your application.
