Whilst the role is a grade 5 position, we would be willing to consider candidates with potential but less experience who are seeking a development opportunity, for which an initial appointment would be at Grade 4 (£25,138 - £28,759 p.a.) with the responsibilities adjusted accordingly. We’re looking for an HR Administrator to join a small professional team supporting the Faculty of Philosophy and its four research centres. You will be responsible for ensuring HR data is accurately gathered, managed and maintained for the full employee life-cycle, and, in particular, you will take the lead on ensuring that all employment and HR data for payroll is up-to-date and compliant with GDPR and University guidelines. Additionally, you will create and analyse recruitment and employment datasets to provide regular reports to the Head of Administration and Finance.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience of handling data in a HR environment and the ability to maintain data to the highest levels of accuracy. Intermediate to advanced Excel skills are required, and you must be comfortable with both inputting data and interrogating systems to ensure all of our information interacts effectively. The ability to deal professionally with confidential matters and the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and manage a busy workload are key aspects of the role.
There may be the possibility of supporting the preferred candidate with a CIPD Level 3 qualification.
