Starting salary from £28,929 per annum, dependent on skills and experience, with an annual increment up to £35,308 per annum, plus market supplement of £3,000 for an initial period of 1 year.

The market supplement only applies to London-based applicants whilst they remain living in that location. Please note that the market supplement is temporary and is subject to review periodically. 

UEA is looking to recruit 3 Higher Education Advisers to join the student recruitment team. We have 2 indefinite positions, one based in London and one in the South of England. We also have a fixed-term maternity cover which could be in either location. 

As a Higher Education Adviser, you will be responsible for promoting the University and encouraging students across the UK to consider studying at UEA.  

These roles are remote-based positions, working from home with frequent visits to schools and colleges, and occasional visits to the campus in Norwich. You must be located in London, Greater London, or the South of England. Depending on your location, the roles will entail predominately working with schools and colleges in the following regions: London, Sussex, Surrey, Berkshire, Hampshire and Kent.

You will be helping us deliver our recruitment strategy, working with key schools and colleges in delivering talks, fairs and events to highlight why UEA is the right choice for students. 

The Role:

  • Engaging with post-16 students to promote UEA as a study destination. through presentation and workshop delivery predominantly in schools and colleges in London, Greater London, and the South of England.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with schools and colleges.
  • Representing UEA at Higher Education exhibitions nationwide.
  • Supporting on campus recruitment events and other student recruitment projects.
  • Gaining experience in project management.   

You’ll have:

  • Experience of delivering presentations to a wide range of audiences.
  • Enthusiasm for working with students.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
  • A passion and enthusiasm for higher education.
  • The ability to work remotely and travel for recruitment activities.

All positions are full-time and available immediately. Two of the positions are indefinite and the third is a fixed term maternity cover role.

It is an offence to apply for these roles if you are barred from engaging in regulated activity relevant to children. 

Travel and costs associated with visiting schools and colleges and attending events will be covered.
