This post is based at the Philip Leverhulme Equine Hospital at the Leahurst Campus near Neston, Wirral.

We are looking for an RVN to join our management team at the PLEH as the Head nurse. If you are enthusiastic and passionate about positive leadership and nursing then this could be the role for you.

The key role of the HVN is the management of the nursing and technical team within the PLEH. The HVN will have working knowledge of the roles of the technical team and provide the team with leadership. The HVN is also the chief administrator for the technical team, and a key communicator with other hospital staff in the PLEH

The HVN is responsible for motivating, encouraging and supporting the technical team to ensure they are utilised, trained and developed within their roles to achieve the operational and strategic objectives of the PLEH.

The technical team consists of 13 team members, including six qualified RVNs and three SVNs. We also have a nursing support team consisting of two apprentice staff and two nursing support staff.

Hours of Work: Work pattern is between the hours of 8am -6pm on a shift basis but flexibility is required. Some weekend work is also required
