The Liverpool Clinical Trials Centre (LCTC) provides the infrastructure for the planning, design, conduct and analysis of therapeutic and other clinical trials, spanning from first-in-man to large randomised trials, and other high-quality designs. Clinical areas include paediatrics, neuroscience and cancer with over 110 staff contributing to the design, conduct and reporting of a large and diverse portfolio.

LCTC has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic leader to join us as Head of Trial Management.

As Head of Trial Management, you will lead a team of around 50 personnel (grades 5 to 8) and will have overall responsibility for the trial management workstream, determining its strategy and overseeing the line management and professional development of the team.

You will contribute to the wider LCTC strategic development via participation in the Senior Management Team, will represent LCTC as required at institutional or national meetings and will contribute to successful Good Clinical Practice audits and regulatory Inspections as required.

The successful candidate will be a proven leader and motivator with extensive senior level experience in clinical research. Having expert knowledge of project management within regulatory and ethical frameworks and experience of line management and working across the entire trial life cycle of trials will be an advantage.
