This is an important, challenging and interesting role, leading the Research Degrees team within the Directorate of Academic and Student Administration.
You will lead the team whose responsibilities include:
- The management of all aspects of the University’s central professional research services including guidance for applicants and Faculty staff in relation to regulatory, immigration and procedural matters associated with admissions requirements,
- The management of student information and related processes from enrolment to final award, and support for the generation of the University’s statutory reporting,
- The provision of effective, accurate, and highly professional support for all Committees and Groups associated with the University’s research degree provision,
- Developing, advising on, and enforcing the implementation of research regulations, codes, procedures and guidelines.
As Head of the Research Degrees Team you should have:
- A comprehensive understanding of Higher Education, student data management and experience in research degree support,
- Experience of using complex administrative systems,
- Experience of management,
- Experience of working in a regulatory environment; developing and implementing complex regulations,
- Experience of strategic and operational leadership,
- Experience in delivering training and support to a range of audiences including senior professionals, designing and delivering clear and accurate written and verbal guidance.
