We seek to a Head of Subject to join one of the most engaged business schools in the region and lead the successful development and delivery of our programme activity and research within the Public Relations, Marketing and Journalism subject group. This subject area has a significant track record in engaging with the practice community, producing high-performing alumni at graduate and postgraduate level as well as spearheading and innovating in subject leading research.


You will be an established academic with strong records in teaching, research and professional practice in the subject area, a committed team player with proven experience of leading, managing and deploying a large team of staff. You will also possess experience in developing and delivering strategies to increase student recruitment, improve league table positions and the overall reputation of the school.


As a Head of Subject, you will be responsible for providing academic leadership including the direct line management of academic staff and will report directly to the Dean of School.

Both as a Head of Subject and as a member of the School’s Leadership Team you will play a key strategic role in ensuring the development and enhancement of the subject area as well as it's regional, national and international reputation. This post is critical to the successful development and implementation of our Strategic Plan and will be key in sustaining and improving the school’s performance against sector benchmarks.
