The University of Cambridge is looking for a Head of Social Media and Audio-visual to drive its digital engagement and campaigns. This post within the Office of External Affairs and Communications will lead on communicating the University's key messages and research across social media. 

Cambridge University has more than 800 years of history and can boast more than 100 Nobel Prize winners but remains at the forefront of academic research, brilliant teaching and scientific innovation. This is a chance to work with some of the best content and most accomplished content creators in the university sector. Our combined social media channels have a following of more than 5 million and we want to harness those channels to maximum effect to tell the story of this global University. 

The successful candidate will have a strong track record in social media and digital engagement with proven experience in delivering effective high-quality, low-cost campaigns. They will have experience in developing communications strategies for large and complex organisations with multiple stakeholders. The role holder will know how to evaluate data and segment audiences to achieve maximum impact and will have built and led successful creative teams. They will have a keen understanding of social media as a tool for reputation management as well as proactive publicity.
