The Head of School is an opportunity to shape the future of the Business school at an exciting time, as it moves to a new building in the heart of the city campus. Reporting to the Executive Dean, you'll have the responsibility of setting the school's vision and direction for the future. Approachable and visible, the Head of School is required to bring confident leadership amidst a context of rapid change within the University and higher education sector as a whole. This leadership role is undertaken for a five-year period with an option for a mutually agreed extension of two years. Continued research and teaching activity is assumed in line with the role holder's substantive academic post and as agreed with the Executive Dean.

The Role:

In this position, you'll be tasked with:

  • Setting the school's vision
  • Implementing strategic plans
  • Managing resources for research, teaching, and knowledge exchange
  • Developing innovative strategies
  • Providing leadership during times of change
  • Engaging with staff effectively

We're seeking a visionary leader who can navigate change and inspire others. Your academic background and credibility are important, as well as your dedication to innovation. Ideally, you'll hold or aspire to a Professorial post and have expertise in a relevant discipline.
