HRUC is a newly merged College Group, bringing together Richmond Upon Thames College and HCUC (2017 merger of Harrow College and Uxbridge College) in January 2023. We are now seeking to appoint a Head of School - Business, Sport, Hair and Beauty.
Reporting to the Assistant Principal for Student Aspiration and Projects, you will lead a team of 2 Section Managers, a Course Team Leader and full and part-time Lecturers. You will be responsible for the full range of provision on full and part time courses, including managing the quality of the provision and maintaining its high qualification achievement rates, alongside the developing commercial portfolio. You will lead on development planning in the area, including supporting the team with preparations for qualification changes and continuing to drive towards a skill based and employer focused curriculum.
We are seeking an individual with management experience gained within Further Education with a strong record of achievement, preferably within one of the above curriculum areas. You will be qualified to degree level or equivalent in a relevant subject area and will have a good understanding of the needs of the sectors within the remit of this post, together with experience of curriculum design with employers to meet their needs. You should have good knowledge of relevant awarding body regulations and experience of quality improvement in an FE environment. You should also have good team leadership and management, and the drive and commitment to continue our excellent record of student retention, achievement and progression.
