This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Head of Project Management to contribute to a world-leading University and lead a well-established Project Management team who manage a range of projects that vary greatly in terms of size, scope and nature.

The Project Management Team work within the Strategic Change Team, which has been formed to bring together key roles across Business Analysis, Business Change, Project Management and Portfolio Management to deliver benefits from both digital and non-digital projects that are fundamental to the University achieving its strategic goals for 2030.

Within the University you will be engaging with a wide range of stakeholders from members of the University Executive Board to key department contacts and other members of the Information and Digital Group, such as Product Managers. You'll be a key part of Warwick's journey to become one of the world's exceptional universities, helping to transform our region, country, and world for the collective good.

The Head of Project Management is responsible for owning, developing, and embedding excellent project management methodology and delivery in the Strategic Change team, in conjunction with the Head of Project Assurance, and more generally at the University of Warwick. The role will manage a large team of project managers, supporting their training and development to ensure change is delivered to agreed tolerances. The Head of Project Management will, alongside the other Heads of functions in Strategic Change, ensure projects are adequately resourced and able to deliver.

This role will be responsible for all aspects of staff management and must have demonstratable experience of managing teams, developing skills and managing performance. The postholder must also have experience of managing large complex projects as they will be required to manage some projects whether directly or through the support of others.
