We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Portfolio Management Office professional to join the Strategic Change Office as the Head of PMO. The SCO team deliver transformational change for the oganisation, supporting the delivery of the University’s strategic plan. The role holder will be a member of the Strategic Change Office Leadership Team and will report to the Deputy Director of Transformation. The role will be responsible for the day to day operations of the PMO team, which includes PMO Managers, Analysts and team members who focus on benefits and demand. Working closely with senior leaders and the wider SCO team, the role holder will be pivotal in shaping, prioritising and assuring the change portfolio, while ensuring clear reporting to governance groups. 


The successful candidate will be a resilient, collaborative, and an inclusive strategic leader. They will have the requisite experience to operate credibly within an academic environment, and to develop trusted relationships throughout the Manchester community. Critically, they will have excellent communication skills and stakeholder management experience, as well as a genuine commitment to the transformative vision and mission of the University.
