Head of Mass Spectrometry Facility

The MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology (LMB) is seeking to appoint a Head of its Mass Spectrometry Facility. If successful you will lead a team of 3 to 4 scientists in a well-equipped facility. The Facility is expected to collaborate with other groups in the LMB in addressing major research problems, develop and implement cutting-edge mass spectrometry methods, and provide a high-quality service to all users including appropriate support and training.

The MRC-LMB is a research institute within UK Research and Innovation (UKRI). UKRI is an entity that brings together nine partners to create an independent organisation with a strong voice for research and innovation. The LMB is a world-class institute that applies a wide range of methods and techniques to address fundamental problems in molecular and cellular biology.  Candidates should have a track record of published research using mass spectrometry, and a vision for enhancing the facility within the LMB. Preference will be given to those who have experience of collaborative working and providing a service for others.
