External Engagement and Global
This full-time, permanent role is available in the Global Exeter team.
This role offers the opportunity for hybrid working – some time on campus and some from home and the post holder must also be prepared to engage in occasional international travel.
Summary of the role
This role will lead on the maintenance and development of strategic international partnerships which are developed in line with the University’s Global Strategy, and which are designed to bring benefits in terms of research collaboration, transnational education (TNE) opportunities and international reputation. The post-holder will line manage a team of staff with remits including internal liaison with Faculties and regional leadership.
The Head of Global Partnerships will provide expertise and support to the Director of Global Exeter to take forward the Global Strategy. The Head of Global Partnerships will work closely with senior academic leaders including a Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Global Engagement) and Faculty APVCs for Global Engagement.
The role will provide expert advice and insight to the professional teams managing the institution’s reputation and campaigns, in relation to partnerships and broader international relationships. After the Director of Global, the post-holder will be the key lead in the professional relationship management of partner, sponsor and stakeholder relationships, collaborating closely with the Head of ISR in relation to recruitment activities.
