Oxford Brookes University is looking to recruit an experienced and highly effective Head of Global Campaigns to provide 12 months of strategic marketing delivery and leadership.

As a member of our Strategic Marketing and Digital team, you will work as part of a multi-disciplined team who apply their professional skills and expertise to advance the profile of Oxford Brookes University, here in the UK and across our global markets.

You will inherit a strategic campaigns plan for the University and will work closely with UK and Global Recruitment Directors to ensure the plan remains responsive to market changes. You will work closely with managers across the Strategic Marketing & Digital team, to make sure team plans are aligned and effective. You will also lead a talented team of marketing professionals and advertising experts to deliver student recruitment campaigns, as well as provide strategic direction for our Content and Social Media team.

You will have experience within higher education as well as a passion for education. You will be knowledgeable across youth marketing interventions and will bring a creative, innovative approach.

You’ll be joining a highly motivated and friendly team who split our time flexibly between working from home and working in our open plan office. We enjoy regular all team ‘away’ days and socials. Overall Purpose of the post of Head of Global Campaigns:

The Head of Global Campaigns is responsible for the planning and implementation of a global marketing plan to realise the agreed objectives that the Director of UK Recruitment & Partnerships, Director of Global Recruitment and the Head of Strategic Marketing and Digital jointly agree.

The plan delivers campaigns and associated activity to maximise the awareness of Oxford Brookes University, and the targeting of potential students to choose OBU against the competition. The role has to work with multiple stakeholders to meet the University’s recruitment goals and position the University effectively in the home and international markets.

Qualifications and Experience for the post of Head of Global Campaigns:

We want to hear from candidates who have;

●       Proven success of developing and delivering multi-channel marketing campaigns as well as measuring effectiveness and impact.

●       Proven experience of strategic global communications planning.

●       Experience of managing staff and working with a wide range of people.

●       Experience managing budgets.

●       Strong project management skills.

●       Effective negotiation and influencing skills.

●       Experience gathering and effectively utilising customer insight.

●       The ability to self-motivate, manage own workload and work on own initiative.

We support a work-life balance for all staff, including career breaks, job sharing, flexible hours, etc. The team is based in our recently refurbished offices on our Headington Campus, joining other colleagues who work approximately two days a week in the office and the remainder at home.
