Head of Finance Systems

The Finance department is seeking to appoint a Head of Finance Systems.

This a critical role within the Finance department, as it focuses on optimising system usage and supporting change initiatives. The university is currently in the process of migrating its ERP system (Unit4) to the cloud with the aims of enhancing efficiency, accessibility, and scalability by leveraging cloud technology. As part of this transition, we are also looking to redesign our chart of accounts to help streamline financial processes and improve reporting capabilities.

Reporting to the Director of Finance (DoF), we seek an experienced and forward-thinking Head of Finance Systems to collaborate with us in spearheading the enhancement and advancement of our financial systems. Your expertise will be pivotal in driving improvements and ensuring the effective delivery of capabilities within our financial infrastructure.

You should have a degree or equivalent qualification, or relevant professional experience.

Working closely with other members of the finance senior team you will support delivery of the University¿s `Liverpool 2031¿ vision for education and research. The role carries a high degree of leadership and management responsibility within Finance and across the University. Ultimately, this role bridges technology, finance, and organisational strategy. It requires a blend of technical expertise, change management skills, and a forward-thinking mindset.
