About the Role

This role is a key leadership position, taking full autonomy of our digital portfolio commercial operations. The role reports directly to our Director of Digital Education, and will also have direct access to our Director of Strategic Marketing and Partnerships, both of which are Executive Director level positions. The role has the full backing of our entire Executive Committee and a forward-looking investment commitment to the portfolio growth to ensure the right support and exposure required for success.

As we navigate the future needs within higher education and the impact of the last two years, we have an exciting opportunity in the newly formed role of Head of Commercial Operations (Digital Portfolio) to be part of a truly innovative proposition here at Cranfield. This person will own, develop, and lead at the front for our innovative award-bearing digital portfolio, carving our position in the market and setting the tone for our future.

The digital portfolio is a key strategic pillar within Cranfield School of Management. Our Head of Commercial Operations (Digital Portfolio), will lead the core stakeholders of Sales, Marketing, Faculty and Content Designers through launch and continued growth, creating a 3–5-year commercial operations strategy and growing our presence within the global arena. The strategy will include recommendations for distribution networks, customer experience and journey, retention, and growth. We need someone with the drive and energy to develop this role as we develop our proposition together.

This portfolio has commitment from our Senior Leadership Team, with exciting growth objectives in the first three years. About You

We would like someone agile, creative, with professional business strategy skills, combined with a truly ‘customer first’ mind-set.

You will lead and own the commercial and operations plan, with the end objective of new market intervention and global onboarding targets. You will have worked in the online education space, ideally within the business school environment.

Given the breadth of Cranfield University School of Management and the wider Cranfield University, collaborative working and communication and influencing skills (both verbal and written) will be critical to the success of this role.
