The Opportunity

As the Head,  you will have the opportunity to lead and shape the academic support services provided by our Academic Support Librarian Team to the University of Edinburgh, a large, multi-disciplinary institution currently ranked 16th in the QS World Rankings.  You will be a member of our Senior Management Team and will work for an organisation, which boasts rich collections both in print and online and provides and an environment for experimentation and innovation.

Your skills and attributes for success

You will have a recognised professional qualification or registration in a relevant branch of librarianship, information management or equivalent area.  You will be a highly experienced information professional, skilled in academic library support, you will have experience in leading, developing and motivating professional staff and will have demonstrable experience of creating innovative solutions and services and contributing towards the development and delivery of strategy and planning.
