The Centre for Medical Informatics at the Usher Institute within The University of Edinburgh is looking for an enthusiastic manager to lead the research and financial management of HDR UK Scotland and associated projects across the UK. 

The Opportunity:

This 2 year post offers the opportunity to work as part of a UK-wide effort to make health data available to researchers to understand disease and find ways to prevent, treat and cure them. The postholder will embedded within the cutting edge data science programmes in the Usher Institute and will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing relationships with other academic, NHS, industrial and third sector partners across the UK (involving some travel).

Your skills and attributes for success:

  • You should have significant project, financial and staff management experience as well as a desire to work collaboratively with partners across the UK.
    • Ability to secure research grant funding.
    • Ability to develop an extensive network of contacts and partnerships.
    • Demonstrable understanding of heath data science.
