Job description

The School of Engineering at London South Bank University is seeking to appoint a Graduate Teaching Assistant, Grade 6, to assist with the development and delivery of exciting new offerings within the area of Railway Engineering. Where the role will see the successful candidate develop their knowledge and experience of course and module development and management, providing key experience for a career in academia.

 

For the role, we are especially interested in people with suitable qualitative and technical engineering skills, with a demonstrable background in the following key areas:

  • Postgraduate/Post Doctoral degree in qualitative subject matter applicable to engineering;
  • Evidence of the ability to think and act innovatively in teaching, and developing students knowledge;
  • Highly effective interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to think of the bigger picture as well as technical detail;
  • Able to demonstrate an understanding of, and commitment to, equality, diversity and inclusion, and its practical application within the context of LSBU Behavioural Framework.

 

 

Details about the role

This is a full-time post, offering a fixed term contract for 21 Months with the possibility of an extension.

Please note that the University is operating a hybrid working model which means a mix of working on site and from home, confirmation of days worked on campus are arranged with the line manager.
