This part time (0.5FTE) UKRI funded post is available immediately to the 30th  April 2023 to assistant to support the work of Dr Ge Guo.

The post

You will support a programme of research to understand human embryo development using our recently established human blastoid system .

We welcome applications from candidates interested in working part-time hours or job-sharing arrangements

About you

You will:

  • Be able to present information on research progress and outcomes
  • Be able to communicate complex information, orally, in writing and electronically
  • Be able to prepare proposals and applications to external bodies
  • Be educated to first degree level or possess an equivalent qualification/experience in a related field of study or equivalent experience
  • Be able to demonstrate sufficient knowledge in the discipline and of research methods and techniques to work within established research programmes
  • Have technical ability in confocal imaging and cell culture
  • Additional skills in areas such as handling early embryos and genetic modification will be an advantage
