The post

The College wishes to recruit up to two Graduate Research Assistants to support the work of the Exeter PRP Evidence Review Facility, one of two research groups in the UK commissioned by the National Institute of Health Research Policy Research Programme  (PRP). Located at the University of Exeter, a leading Russell Group university, the Exeter PRP Evidence Review Facility conducts syntheses of evidence to inform policy development and evaluation across the full policy remit of the Department of Health and Social Care. 

The successful applicant will support evidence synthesis projects for the Department of Health and Social Care, working with multidisciplinary teams of systematic reviewers, epidemiologists, statisticians, health economists, information specialists, clinical experts and members of the public with lived experience in producing responsive, high-quality outputs under strict deadlines.

Key tasks associated with this role include identification, appraisal and synthesis of quantitative and qualitative evidence. As part of this post, you will have an important role in supporting academic teams in the end-to-end management of evidence syntheses with real-world policy impact.

About you

You will be a graduate trainee with a relevant degree in a field related to evidence synthesis to inform policy development, for example medical sciences, statistics, or economics, and a demonstrated career commitment to working in health services research.  You should be able to demonstrate sufficient knowledge in the discipline and of research methods and techniques to work within an established research programmes.
