The University of West London (UWL) is ranked the best modern* university (non-specialist) in London in the Complete University Guide 2023.

We were also named University of the Year for Student Experience and Teaching Quality in The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide 2023, being described by the editor as “regularly among the top-performing universities” and proving that “it is possible for a London-based institution to achieve outstanding levels of student satisfaction beyond other universities”.

*University status awarded in or after 1992

The Department

The Global Partnerships Office is a dynamic team which supports the University’s UK and international partnership activity, a key component of the University’s current strategic plan. The Global Partnerships Office co-ordinates the relationship between our partners and key University stakeholders and supports a wide range of activities including partnership development and approval, monitoring, legal matters and student experience.

The Role

The key focus of this role is to act as an ‘account manager’ for a portfolio of the University’s UK and overseas academic partners. This involves the effective managerial delivery and oversight of partnership operations and being the first point of contact for the partner and University colleagues on non-academic matters.

The post holder will provide expertise, support and communications on operational and risk management matters relating to their portfolio of partners to ensure that the University and partner relationships work effectively and that the partnerships adhere to all internal and external regulatory requirements and key University business processes. The post holder will also manage the Annual Partnership Reviews and related ongoing actions and outcomes for partnerships within their portfolio.

The University of West London does not routinely adopt a hybrid working model, so the expectation is that the post-holder will be working on-site, either at UWL or with the partner.

The Person

The post holder will have prior experience of working for an FE or HE educational provider, ideally supporting partnership activities and operations. The post holder will also have experience of operational process development and improvement along with high level skills in data processing and analysis. Additionally, the post holder must be able to build positive relationships with people from diverse backgrounds and at all levels within an organisation.
