The government has established high-quality Institutes of Technology (IoTs) to provide employers with a skilled workforce and students with a clear route to technical employment. The Greater Birmingham & Solihull IoT (GBSIoT) specialises in Engineering and Manufacturing and is a consortium led by Solihull College & University Centre, Aston University and Birmingham City University, working alongside South and City College Birmingham as a core partner and supported by BMET College, University College Birmingham and the University of Birmingham. GBSIoT jointly design, develop and widen education and training opportunities aligned to the latest skills needs of leading employers in the sector.
We wish to recruit a Marketing & Outreach Coordinator to drive awareness of our brand and offer, inspiring learners and residents from across our Schools, Colleges, Universities and Communities, to engage with the exciting opportunities this sector has to offer. In this challenging and rewarding role, you will support the GBSIoT Marketing and Outreach Leads with the planning, coordination and delivery of this important area of work. We are seeking an individual with the ambition to showcase the opportunities that the GBSIoT can offer, an excellent communicator who can demonstrate effective market engagement and report on impact.
Qualified to Level 4 or equivalent, you will have a successful track record in driving campaigns to influence the behaviour of external stakeholders and customers; implementing new initiatives from launch to delivery especially within an education, employment & skills environment. Marketing or PR experience is essential.
