Job Summary - The Digital Team at the University of Exeter have a new opportunity for a Graduate Application Developer to join their team.  You will be joining the university during an exciting period of digital transformation, and you will be involved in the key activities that will support the digital developments for students and staff.  Your role will be to develop mobile APPs for Android and iOS.  Working alongside experienced developers, you will gain skills and knowledge in engineering designs for new software solutions.  You will also be supported to gain certifications through AWS and Google. This role is part of the Graduate Business Partnership (GBP) Scheme and offers full-time hours (36.5 hours per week) over a 23-month period.  You will have access to wide range of benefits includes flexible/hybrid working with your main base being The Forum at Streatham Campus in Exeter. For more information on the GBP scheme, please visit www.exeter.ac.uk/internships .   

About You - You should be a graduate who has a relevant university degree showing excellence and strong analytical skills or equivalent professional experience. You should have a good understanding of hybrid mobile app development frameworks such as Xaramin, React Native, Ionic, Flutter, PhoneGap, have basic understanding of mobile app architectures, have working knowledge of AWS/cloud technologies, and an understanding of software design principles. You should have a passion for all things digital, software and web application, have an exceptional attitude and willingness to get stuck in and learn new skills, strive to make the most of our applications for our users, be a proactive problem solver, and have the ability to work in a team and work on Agile scrum. You should also have experience in using distributed source control Git, of automated software and system management tools, and of creating digital assets, and experience of designing  and developing software solutions to agreed requirements using a range of languages and technologies such as React Native, Javascript, Node, Objective-C, Swift, Java, Kotlin, Android SDK, Android Studio, Xcode, Visual Studio Code, Fastlane.
