Job Summary - The Digital Team at the University of Exeter have a new opportunity for a graduate Developer to join their team. You will be joining the university during an exciting period of digital transformation, and your role will be key in supporting digital developments for students and staff. Your main tasks will involve testing software and applications to make sure products are of a high quality. Working alongside experienced developers, you will gain skills and knowledge of design and implementation of solid test automation. You will also be supported to gain certifications such as ISTQB test automation and Rest API Automation Testing. This role is part of the Graduate Business Partnership (GBP) Scheme and offers full-time hours (36.5 hours per week) over a 23-month period. About You - You should be a recent graduate from a relevant university degree showing excellence and strong analytical skills or equivalent professional experience who has good problem solving and communication skills to work with both your colleagues and the client team members and you should be naturally methodical with a very keen eye for detail. You should have excellent communication and collaboration skills, strong analysis and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail, have the ability to code / script with Java, Kotlin (or JavaScript), and be familiar
with web technologies, xml, agile techniques, and business process modelling and specification.
What Skills and Experience will You Gain? - You will work alongside experienced developers and developers in test, you will achieve a comprehensive understanding of design and implementation of solid test automation, you will gain free certifications such as ISTQB test automation, Rest API Automation Testing, have access to the mentoring programme, and be part of digital transformation.
