Job Type: FullTime
Deadline: 31 Aug 2022

Would you like to work for a better world by helping to develop the fundraising and business collaboration activities of the largest university in Finland? The University’s Communications and Community Relations sector is now looking for two professionals in fundraising and one in business collaboration.

Fundraising liaison manager (two positions)

As fundraising liaison manager, you will be responsible for designated customer relationships and projects related to the University’s fundraising and partnership activities, and will support the development and implementation of fundraising by the units under your responsibility. Your customer portfolio will consist of current donors, private individuals, foundations and business partners in Finland and abroad. The liaison manager will participate, as a member of a team, in the development and implementation of the University’s fundraising, donor relations and partnership services, and will produce communications, campaigns and events aimed at donors and partners.

Business collaboration liaison manager

As business collaboration liaison manager, you will be responsible for the implementation of the University’s diverse business collaboration activities. You will be the key account manager for designated partners, aiming to increase the value of collaboration and enhance customer satisfaction. You will support the progress of collaboration projects, be familiar with various funding opportunities and develop, together with a team, services for business collaboration as part of the development of the University’s innovation and entrepreneurship activities and of campus ecosystems. You will support the units under your responsibility in the long-term implementation of business collaboration and will promote the networking of researchers with businesses.

Who you are

You have a suitable higher education degree and experience in target-oriented sales and partnership work as well as demanding public relations duties. You thrive in an international work environment and enjoy new challenges. You have the ability to inspire and convince your collaboration partners with your skills and your precise and effective approach. You enjoy teamwork and co-creation, but complete your duties independently. You are flexible in the face of changing circumstances and turn challenges into opportunities with a positive service attitude. You are able to work fluently not only in Finnish and Swedish, but also in English. We also appreciate the ability to use Swedish actively in your work. You have good presentation and multimedia communication skills, and the ability to establish and maintain networks in digital and other environments.

Why work for us?

As liaison manager, you will be part of our friendly, enthusiastic and professional work community. We have a strong team spirit and work ethic, doing our best for the University based on a co-creation approach. You will be supported in your diverse duties by the more than 100 communications, community relations and innovation specialists working in the Communications and Community Relations sector, and will also have the opportunity to enhance your expertise. As part of our work community, you will collaborate closely with inspiring researchers and contribute to improving the conditions for research and education. We will promote your skills development actively based on your needs and will support your wellbeing and day-to-day activities, for example, through remote work opportunities and flexible working hours, a comprehensive occupational health scheme, and inexpensive and diverse fitness services provided by UniSport.

One of the fundraising liaison manager positions will be filled on a permanent basis, while the other is a fixed-term position filled for the duration of a family leave lasting approximately one year. The position of business collaboration liaison manager is available on a permanent basis. The salary for each position will depend on the appointee’s expertise and experience, typically being in the range of €3,800 to €4,900 per month.
