The Nuffield Department of Women’s & Reproductive Health is looking for a Full-Stack Developer who is passionate about learning, development and research to join the Oxford Martin School’s prestigious 

Deep Medicine

programme. The team has experience in conduct of digital trials and is planning to embark on the pilot phase of a new international randomized trial of blood pressure management.


In planning for the trial, the team is building a software solution for trial management, including recruitment, eligibility assessment and randomization processes. This will require complex software integrations with third party services and APIs, developing of new features and fixing bugs as well documenting those tasks. You will be working on these tasks in an Agile environment. You will be helping and reporting to our senior developer to produce a top quality bespoke web based system.

You will have a bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related subject (or near completion), with solid experience using PHP with a strong understanding of OO design patterns and understanding of functional programming paradigms as well as experience working with MVC web frameworks. Experience with Laravel PHP framework, a solid understanding of JavaScript and JS frameworks such as React or AngularJS and extensive experience with frontend development including HTML, CSS, Bootstrap 4 are also essential for this role. You will be able to quickly learn new technologies and assess their suitability for solving a problem, demonstrate a portfolio of successful web based projects you’ve worked on in the past and have a high level of proficiency in written and spoken English language.
