Full Professorship (W3) of Applied Mathematics
(Chair)

commencing as soon as possible.

The professorship represents the research area of stochastics. Connections to neighboring sciences, such as discrete mathematics, mathematical physics, statistical learning, or life sciences, are welcome. In teaching, the professorship organizes the mathematical part of teacher education programs. The chair should particularly participate in the mathematical teacher education program for secondary school (Gymnasium). It is also involved in the general teaching tasks of the Mathematical Institute in all mathematical programs and in the teaching of mathematics for other departments.

Prerequisites for this position are a university degree, a doctoral degree or a comparable specific qualification, teaching skills at university level, excellent academic achievements and a productive and promising research program.
