The School

The Role

We wish to appoint a talented and inspirational Senior Lecturer in Fashion Practice to assist in developing and leading the new Fashion undergraduate course BA(Hons) Fashion Practice , as well as   delivering on the BA Fashion and Textiles course where appropriate. 

You should be supportive of the vision for the school and be able to deliver research, innovation and enterprise, with a keen appetite for developing collaborations, cross course, course school and with the wider fashion industry.

The Person

We would like to speak to candidates who are forward thinking, adaptable and able to be responsive to the changes within the fashion industry. We are seeking individuals with keen design capabilities, who are committed, ambitious and boast academic and professional credibility to develop our reputation with the creative industries and beyond, both nationally and internationally. 

Candidates must have a postgraduate degree in a relevant discipline. You should ideally be undertaking a PhD, and/or have a research, innovation and/or enterprise record, and have professional experience in your field. You will have experience of teaching and learning in higher education. Ideally applicants will hold a recognised teaching qualification for Higher Education. Successful applicants without a relevant teaching qualifications will join the UWL Academic Professional degree apprenticeship scheme supporting the UK government’s commitment to up skill the UK workforce.
