The Finance Coordinator plays a crucial role in providing budgetary and management account support to our Research Centres and their Directors. The primary focus of this role is to offer expert financial advice to aid the planning, implementation, and management of finances within the Research Centres, ensuring alignment with business objectives and adherence to the University's financial regulations at all times.

The ideal candidate should have substantial experience in a finance management role (or similar) and will be able to demonstrate expertise in financial and accounting practice. You will have good project management, organisational, and communication skills, and feel confident in dealing with a variety of stakeholders, both internal and external. We are looking for someone with excellent IT skills, and competence in the use of Excel and Oracle Financials (or a similar accounting programme). To carry out this role, you will need to be a qualified/part-qualified accountant or be able to demonstrate an equivalent level of relevant experience.

This role is based in central Cambridge and offers hybrid working.

Temporary cover: This post is fixed-term for 1 year or upon the return of the post holder, whichever is earlier.
