Finance Business Partner

The Opportunity:

We are looking for dedicated and enthusiastic Finance Business Partner to join the Campus Finance and Contracts Team. This role will undertake a wide range of finance duties across a diverse team; this role will specifically focus on timely and accurate financial management information to support effective financial planning and control which supports the delivery of Veterinary Teaching Organisation objectives.   A team player and highly motivated with an ability to interpret, analyse and adapt financial information to aid management decision making. 

Excellent IT skills are required for this role covering main accounting software (preferably Oracle), with advanced Excel skills including pivot tables and macros.  A proven ability to download and manipulate data from systems for financial reporting purposes is a key consideration.  Knowledge/Experience of working in a Higher Education environment is desirable

Your skills and attributes for success: Be a part-qualified or newly qualified accountant, preferably with a degree or HND in a relevant discipline.

• Experience of managing projects and budgets.
• Experience of providing insightful analysis and advice to stakeholders.
• Proven written and oral communication skills and ability to explain finance concepts and implications of financial decisions on stakeholders.
• Superb inter-personal and time-management skills and ability to influence others.
