About the Role:
Join our dynamic team at the Churchill Hospital and contribute to our pioneering work in Early Phase Clinical Trials Finance. As a Finance Assistant, you will be integral to the monitoring and reporting activities of our diverse portfolio of trials.
Collaborating closely with finance colleagues, clinicians, and researchers, you will ensure smooth financial operations.
This role demands efficient workload management and exceptional communication skills, as well as proficiency in IT tools such as Microsoft Excel and Word.
A honorary contract with the OUH NHS Foundation Trust will be required for this role, as you will be based at the Churchill Hospital. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to handle routine tasks independently and possess a strong aptitude for explaining complex matters.
The post is offered on a full-time basis, fixed-term for three years in the first instance.
About you:
We are seeking an individual with good IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and Word, and you will have the ability to work independently on routine tasks. A keen eye for detail and a knack for numbers are essential, as is the ability to communicate complex ideas with clarity and precision. You will have a positive attitude, good work ethic, and dedication to continuous learning.
Additionally, experience with database software like Filemaker Pro and Access would be advantageous, along with familiarity with computer-based accounting systems. Previous involvement in a university environment, particularly in research or clinical support capacities, would also be highly beneficial.
