About The Role
We are currently seeking a Finance Administrator to work within the University’s Finance team, contributing to the smooth running of the Purchase Ledger function.
Within this role the successful candidate will be responsible for the accurate maintenance of the purchase ledgers, which will include the inputting to supplier accounts of purchase invoices received for the University and its subsidiary companies and joint ventures. The position will involve interacting with a range of people across the university and externally.
Our finance team is an established team of around twenty members, with this varied role offering a great opportunity to join a close knit, skilled team in an excellent working environment.
About You
The ideal candidate for this role will be accurate, conscientious, efficient and hard-working, and able to manage their own workload, while also working alongside colleagues within the team in a collaborative manner. As well as these core qualities, you’ll have excellent numeracy and communication skills.
We are looking to hear from candidates who have the following skills/experience:
- Previous experience of working within a finance environment.
- Excellent numeracy and IT skills, attention to detail, and the ability to improve processes and generate efficiencies.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to tailor communications to be well understood by all parties.

This position is offered on a permanent, part time, 17.5 hours a week contract with the working pattern to be discussed at interview.
