Within the Faculty of Arts, Society and Professional Studies, the School of Nursing and Allied Health undertakes high quality undergraduate teaching to include Adult Nursing, Mental Health Nursing, Physiotherapy, (and Paramedic Science and   Occupational Therapy from Sept’24.)

We are looking for a capable administrator to provide support to the Faculty and School. In this varied role, you will deal with a number of administrative tasks, joining the Senior Faculty Office Administrator as the key focal point for academic staff across their activities.

Your pro-active involvement will allow academic colleagues from across the Faculty to concentrate on their core commitments to students and research. Key duties of the role will include:

  • Assisting the Senior Faculty Office Administrator in areas such as servicing meetings, work placement allocations, monitoring absences and registrations, booking external training and conferences, co-ordinating and supporting the delivery of events including catering, room booking etc.

Reporting to the Faculty Office Manager, you will have confidence in the use of MS Outlook, MS Teams, MS Word and MS Excel, alongside strong problem-solving skills. You will have a commitment to providing excellent, proactive customer service and an ability to develop effective relationships across different departments (internally and externally) within the University and Service Care Users and also liaising with external agencies such as the NHS. You will possess excellent numeracy, analytical and literacy skills and should be able to demonstrate well-developed organisational skills, including the ability to work co-operatively in small teams as well as on your own initiative.
