Finance, Infrastructure and Commercial Services - Facilities Management
The Facilities Management team currently have a permanent full-time position (36.5 hours per week) available, based on Streatham campus and supporting St Luke’s campus. Applicants must possess a clean driving license.
The hours for this particular post will be between 12:00pm and 8.00pm.
Summary of the role
You will be part of the Complex Team of operatives engaged to fulfil the operational needs of the University, delivering a robust and professional service to the Colleges, Professional Services and visitors. The central pool operates between the hours of 7.00am and 8.00pm daily and weekends as required operationally. This will included cover for sickness, holiday and other operational need with the Forum Complex and the St Luke’s campus
Flexibility and adaptability are key components of this role as operational requirements may change at short notice. These are physically demanding positions and the post holders will be covering a wide range of duties including facilitating room moves, lifting and carrying large pieces of equipment, as well as participating in waste and recycling duties between the Exeter campuses.
Main purpose of the job:
To undertake, on a daily basis, various Facilities Management tasks to provide a safe and suitable environment for staff, students and visitors to the University. There will be elements of driving, portering, traffic management, setting up and breaking down teaching rooms, security and assisting with cleaning when required.
You will hold a clean driving license and will be required to drive University registered vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes as part of their normal daily process.
You will be expected to carry out duties with minimal supervision and will liaise with a wide range of customers.
You will be expected to conduct yourself in a professional manner at all times and during all activities.
