Established in 1828, the University of Central Lancashire is a leading modern University located in the city of Preston. The School of Pharmacy and Biomedical Sciences offers several undergraduate and postgraduate healthcare related degrees including the BSc (Hons) Biomedical Science, Master of Pharmacy and the Healthcare Science Practitioner degree apprenticeship. The School offers a friendly and supportive learning environment with state-of-the-art teaching and research facilities.

We are seeking to appoint an Experiential Learning Educator to support the delivery of experiential learning within the school, including simulated learning and degree apprenticeships. The successful applicant will join a multidisciplinary team, working with a range of stakeholders both internal and external to the school including interprofessional education (IPE) and Public Patient engagement (PPE) leads, course teams, employers, students/learners, COMENSUS, service users, patients and carers. They will also play a key role in guiding, monitoring and assessing both employers and apprentices throughout the degree apprenticeship journey and to contribute to the activities of the school and university with regards to the delivery and compliance of degree apprenticeships.

The successful applicant needs to have recent competent, contemporary and evidence-based experience in professional practice linked to the School. Experience of teaching and delivering workshops, particular in work-based setting, and supporting colleagues to develop as professional practitioners is essential. Applicants will need to hold a first degree, preferentially in a subject aligned to the school, with Maths and English at level 2. A motivated and enthusiastic individual, the successful candidate will be an active networker, with the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of audiences.

Evidence of effective written and verbal communication, independent and team working, and the ability to work collaboratively are essential for this position. 

While the post is advertised as full-time, we also welcome applications from candidates who may wish to work on a part-time basis.
