Job Summary: To obtain employment and experiential opportunities in business and industry for students and alumni in all curricula. Counsel, prepare and enhance hiring potential of students, new graduates and alumni into the job market. Assist in the placement of work study eligible students.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with students, graduates, faculty and administration to ensure a high level of successful placement outcomes;
  • Participate in the delivery of HSS comprehensive career counseling program; help students identify employment options that match their career interests; assist students in all aspects of the job search including resume writing, interviewing techniques and job referrals;
  • Assist in the planning and execution of Career Services events such as Job Fairs, Interview Panels, On-Campus Guest Speaking events, etc.;
  • Develop and maintain relationship with employers and career mentors, contact business and industry to develop reciprocally beneficial partnerships for jobs;
  • Internships and job shadowing opportunities;
  • Assist with the creation of alumni associations for each program, develop and facilitate a schedule for regular alumni meetings and events;
  • Assist in the collection of employer feedback and graduate surveys;
  • Perform other job-related duties and responsibilities that will be assigned from time to time.
  • Qualifications and Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree or above;
  • At least 3-year post-qualification administrative or relevant experience, preferably with experience on academic and teaching support in tertiary institutions;
  • Good command in both written and spoken English and Chinese;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software;
  • Strong communication and management skills; and
  • Capability for working independently when required and as part of an integrated team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Salary and Benefits

    Salary will be competitive, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Appointments will be made under the establishment of CUHK-SZ and statutory benefits will be provided according to the prevailing labor laws applicable in the PRC. The appointee will be based at the University campus in Shenzhen, PRC.
